ATTENDANCE REPORTING
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
Please be advised that after careful consideration, the district has decided to move forward with adjusting how all virtual students daily attendance is reported. Starting on Monday, October 5, 2020 Parent(s)/Guardian(s) will be required to log into the Genesis Parent Portal to mark their child “Present” or “Absent” for the day. If you do not mark your child present for the day, they will not receive attendance credit. If your child is going to be absent from virtual learning, it is imperative that you mark them absent in the portal. All missed work for an absence is still required to be turned in to your child's respective teacher(s). Failure to turn in missed work will result in a loss of credit for the assignment. When marking your child(ren) absent, please be sure to provide a specific reason, so our attendance officer Mrs. Hablitz can determine if this absence is excused or unexcused in accordance with our districts absenteeism policy. This feature is open daily from 12:00am through 11:59pm for each calendar day to provide as much flexibility for families as possible to complete this task. This applies to ALL Parent(s)/Guardian(s) on whole school virtual days as well.
