Welcome to Miss Herman's Web Page!!

News and Announcements

Good Morning!

I want to start off by saying how much I miss your kids, and I look forward to seeing them all back at school.  IN the meantime, I will be posting assignments here for your children.  I sent home a large envelope on Friday with materials and the students wrote a brief note in their HW Planners.

The goal is to keep learning going at home.  I know this is not our usual routine, but we are all going to "Give it our Best".  This is something the kids hear from me in class regularly and it still applies to work at home.  My other personal goal for today is to hopefully hear from each of you.  Some parents I have already spoken to, but I would love to hear from ALL of you.  That way we can work together to help your children learn at home.

You can reach me at jherman@hesk6.us.

This week I am going to stick with just one focus for each day in English Language Arts. Today, tomorrow, and Wed., we will focus on just the Spelling and Grammar Skills. We will go back to our Blackbeard the Pirate books on Thursday.

I am doing this for two reasons. 1. I want everyone to continue to learn without being overwhelmed. We are ALL trying our best and I hope that this makes Week 2 a little less stressful. Please email me (jherman@hesk6.us) to let me know how this new set-up goes for you at home. 2. We are supposed to be giving 40 min of work a day. We usually have 90 min to work on Grammar, Spelling, and Reading. I feel as though every child's emotional well-being is just as important as the work, and I hope that this move helps out with both. As always, I am here if you need any help.
Keep up the good work!
Love, Miss Herman
