Spelling

This year I will be using a program called Words Their Way. This is an amazing program for differentiating at all levels for learning new words. Students will receive new word sorts every Monday + will be tested on Fridays. Throughout the week, students will be completing daily assignments to help with sorting + spelling their words.

Reading Corner.png Reader’s Workshop This week we will begin our second novel study; Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. Students will be learning about Socratic Seminars + how as a class we will be accomplishing them throughout the week. This is an excellent strategy for interactive learning + whole class discussion. The summary should include a rating from 1-10 (10 being the best) + tell me why you rated the book the way you did. You may also include some of your favorite parts from the book. Good luck! I'm so excited to see who will complete The 40 Book Challenge!
